Hey Beserkers! As some of you may know, we at Beserk are more than just a brand passionate about alternative fashion and lifestyle! We’re all about supporting the causes closest to our hearts, especially those that involve the animals who share this planet with us! That’s why we’ve teamed up with Devils @ Cradle, an extraordinary wildlife conservation sanctuary nestled in the breathtaking wilderness of Cradle Mountain in Tasmania. With a mission dedicated to preserving Tasmania’s beloved native species, Devils @ Cradle is a world-class conservation center where visitors can connect with and learn about some of Australia’s most unique, mysterious, and endangered animals, including the iconic Tasmanian Devil and the lesser-known Spotted Tail Quoll.
Welcome to Devils @ Cradle 🏞️ -
If you’ve ever wanted to explore Australia’s wildlife up close in a responsible, respectful way, Devils @ Cradle is a dream come true! Located in Tasmania’s premier wilderness area at Cradle Mountain, this sanctuary is not just any conservation facility – it’s at the forefront of efforts to save some of Tasmania’s most vulnerable species. Here, the Devils @ Cradle team offers a unique and intimate wildlife experience while focusing on conservation, research, and education. The sanctuary gives visitors a chance to engage with Tasmanian Devils, Eastern Quolls, and Spotted Tail Quolls while learning about the critical need for their protection!
Our Love for Animals ❤️ -
At Beserk, we believe in giving back to the creatures who make our world so amazing. In fact, we’ve even adopted and sponsored two incredible Spotted Tail Quolls named Lilley and Atreyu. We’re honoured to play a role in supporting the sanctuary's conservation work, especially in ensuring the survival of these quirky and adorable animals. The Spotted Tail Quoll, also known as the Tiger Quoll, is often overshadowed by its better-known cousin, the Tasmanian Devil. However, this species is equally deserving of attention and protection due to its role in Tasmania's ecosystem and its status as a vulnerable species.
Who is Devils @ Cradle? -
Devils @ Cradle was founded with a passion for saving the Tasmanian Devil from extinction. Since the early 2000s, the sanctuary has been at the forefront of efforts to address the devastating Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD) – a contagious cancer that has severely impacted the wild population. With an ongoing mission to ensure these creatures don’t just survive but thrive, Devils @ Cradle has expanded its reach to include other native carnivorous marsupials, such as the Spotted Tail Quoll and Eastern Quoll. The sanctuary’s work spans research, captive breeding programs, education, and hands-on conservation.
The Mission of Devils @ Cradle -
The team at Devils @ Cradle believes that a blend of research, conservation, and public education is the way forward for saving Tasmania’s iconic wildlife. Through captive breeding programs, they’re building a stable, healthy population of Tasmanian Devils and quolls to support the species' future. Each visit to Devils @ Cradle contributes directly to these initiatives, helping fund habitat preservation, care, and research.
Key Programs and Conservation Efforts -
- Tasmanian Devil Conservation - The primary focus of Devils @ Cradle is to prevent the extinction of the Tasmanian Devil. With numbers declining rapidly due to DFTD (Devil Facial Tumor Disease), the sanctuary is an integral player in preserving the devil’s genetic diversity and establishing DFTD-free populations.
- Spotted Tail Quoll Program - Quolls like Lilley and Atreyu are essential to Tasmania’s ecosystem. Through monitoring, captive breeding, and research, Devils @ Cradle aims to prevent further declines of the Spotted Tail Quoll.
- Eastern Quoll Recovery - Once native to mainland Australia, Eastern Quolls are now found only in Tasmania, making Devils @ Cradle’s recovery efforts critical to their survival.
Meet Lilley and Atreyu, Our Adopted Spotted Tail Quolls 🐾 -
We’re thrilled to introduce you to Lilley (Lighter coat) and Atreyu (Darker coat), two gorgeous Spotted Tail Quolls who have captured our hearts here at Beserk! These quolls are just as elusive as they are adorable, with their spotted coats, playful energy, and their vital role in Tasmania’s wilderness. Spotted Tail Quolls are actually the largest carnivorous marsupials on mainland Australia and are known for their agile hunting skills, which help control the population of smaller animals. By sponsoring these two beautiful creatures, we’re helping Devils @ Cradle provide the care, enrichment, and protection they need.
Why Conservation Matters Now More Than Ever -
Tasmania’s native animals are facing more threats than ever before and many people don’t realise the essential role that species like the Tasmanian Devil and Quolls play in their ecosystems. As apex predators, they help balance populations, control disease by scavenging, and maintain the health of the environment. Every contribution to Devils @ Cradle supports their ability to provide a safe haven for these creatures while also funding groundbreaking research to understand how best to protect them.
