How To Safely Bleach Your Hair At Home - 

Hi there Beserkers! We all love bright coloured hair but of course the one thing that is always a scary obstacle is, bleaching your hair! Of course the thought of bleaching your hair is scary as it can be a very confusing and complex process that people are trained to do, but with this guide will help you be more educated on the process and how bleaching your hair works! ❤️

Bleaching Your Hair At Home: How To Do It Effectively and Safely - 

The steps listed below are to ensure that your hair bleaching/lightening journey goes smoothly, successfully and also safely! ❤️

Before we get into how to bleach your hair here are some simple do's and dont's to ensure you start on the right foot! - 

Do - 

- Use the provided tools for mixing and applying the bleach 
- Take your time, but be conscious of how long your hair has been processing and do not over bleach one side of your hair 
- Prepare by reading all instructions carefully and seeking advice from professionals if you are unsure what to do 

Don't - 

- Do NOT leave this in for longer than the recommended time
- Do NOT apply bleach to your face or body. 
- Do NOT wash your hair BEFORE bleaching. Stripping your hair of it's natural oils will result in you frying your hair, your hair needs all the oils it can get to remain healthy against the bleach 
- DO NOT USE A METAL BRUSH! Do not use anything metal when mixing or applying the bleach and avoid metal clips too
- Do NOT try to lather bleach as it is a PASTE, it doesn't lather like shampoo! You will need to apply this to your hair thoroughly or you will end up with uneven patches. 

How to Bleach your hair, step by step -  

List out all the different steps involved in the process (please refer to the recommended article for guidance on how to build these out).

Step 1 - Pop on some gloves, mix up your bleach kit/paste and ensure a test strand is done to give you an idea of the end results and to avoid any problems during the bleaching process (do not apply the bleach 2 inches with the scalp of your head).

Step 2 - Ensure your hair is completely unwashed, combed and dry to ensure the best result for the bleach to work properly. 

Step 3 - Check your test strand frequently over time and keep an eye on it until the strand has reached the desired level! 

Step 4 - Clean the test strand and start applying bleach to the rest of the hair in sections, to ensure the bleach is covering all hair. Apply bleach 2 inches away from your scalp as the scalp is heated and will activate bleach much quicker than the rest of your hair! 

Step 5 - If desired level is not reached add more bleach and then cover roots an keep an eye on the process and rinse once hair is desired colour

Step 6 - Shampoo hair several times thoroughly, rinse and then carefully towel dry and discard any leftover mixture!
