Jim Henson is back with his puppet and prosthetic mastery in a prequel series to the original 1982 film. The Dark Crystal was one of our favourite movies as kids and probably one of the most terrifying too!
Dropping on August 30th on Netflix, the series is called Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. And we’ve now got a whole new bunch of first-look exclusive photos from the upcoming show! Check them all out here:
The Netflix venture features an all-star voice cast including Mark Hamill, Helena Bonham Carter, Simon Pegg, Taron Egerton, Natalie Dormer, Keegan-Michael Key, Jason Isaacs, and heaps more!
So you've essentially got stars representing from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Marvel and DC. All that's missing is a voice from Middle Earth (sigh).
The synopsis of Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is hinted to involve three Gelflings discovering the ghastly secret behind the Skeksis' power. They set out on a journey to spark the fires of rebellion and to form a resistance to the horrifying power of the Skeksis and to save the world of Thra.
